Adventure at Lucca Bakery

It took me about an hour of searching for the perfect restaurant that would appeal to my appetite and preferences, and Lucca Bakery at SM Megamall had my attention. I was actually curious that the place is almost full, yet the menu board posted outside the restaurant doesn't have any photos to show and all that was written was a very short description of the dish and the price. To feed my curiosity, I took the chance and went inside. 

Here are the food which I ordered:

First on my list is their Carbonara, combination of Penne pasta, Bacon and cream sauce. The smoky flavor of the bacon, fresh mushrooms and perfectly combined herbs and spices make this dish really delicious! I did not have a hard time finishing it because it will only leave you wanting for more.

Second on my list is Lucca Bakery's Smoked Salmon sandwich! The salmon's perfectly cooked and perfectly matched with the rye bread and herbed cream cheese. They only use fresh ingredients which make the dish even more delicious! As a matter of fact. even while I am writing some of the ingredients and description of the dish makes me crave for it!

Of course, everyone is excited to try out new signature drinks whenever it's their first time in a restaurant. For me, I think I made the best decision to choose these two best-seller drinks at Lucca Bakery: Strawberry Basil Lemonade Mocktail and Organic St. Tropez Green iced tea.

Any meal wouldn't be complete if you will not finish it with some sweet treat! And I have tried their Espresso Dacquoise which is actually made of meringue combined with lots of almonds to balance the flavor.

So, what are you waiting for? Try Lucca Bakery and explore the different food in their menu! They have branches at UP Town Center, SM North Edsa and SM Megamall.

Tim Ho Wan

When TimHoWan was brought to the Philippines, many food enthusiasts started to get curious as to why this famous restaurant was labeled as "Honkong's Most Famous Michelin Star Dim Sum". Whenever I pass by SM Mega Fashion Hall, it seems like the line outside the famous restaurant never ends. Some say that you have to be really patient if you are determined to taste their delicious food and it has been months before I had the guts to fall in line and wait for my turn, and I must say, it was all worth it! Not only because the food were delicious, but they were also surprisingly budget friendly!

The Baked Buns with BBQ Pork is something you shouldn't miss if you get the chance to come to this famous restaurant. The texture and flavor of the bun makes it perfect with the BBQ Pork filling! We ordered some for take-out, but nothing beats the delicious Pork Buns when you eat them in the restaurant as these are served fresh and hot.

The Steam Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp is another dish you shouldn't miss if it's your first time to dine in the restaurant. The flavor of the spinach combined with the shrimp and other ingredients make it delicious.

I have also tried their Rice with Beef and Fried Egg, and all I can say is the texture of the beef is unbelievably soft! I was about to ask for a spoon and fork, but when I tried using chopsticks, I was able to cut the meat into tiny slices! They have their own way of cooking the meat which makes it really soft and delicious.

Last but definitely not the least is their Rice with Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom. The tenderness and flavor of the chicken, sausage combined with the mushroom is something really worth trying.
